Our lead safari guide Mustafa Diriye and our family-of-four guests had an awesome and very rare sighting come their way on Friday, September 26th while on a game drive in the Samburu Game Reserve… they were privileged to see a Melanistic Serval Cat. Also known as the Black Serval, this cat is one of the rarest seen ever! We shall hopefully share more photos once they return from safari. We are proud to have had the opportunity to document this. To the best of our knowledge, the black serval cat has very rarely, if ever been caught on camera before in Samburu.
